Is this not the hour?

Is this not the hour, where the injustice of slavery still exists?
Is this not the time to adorn the mantle of unity to mobilize a city, to mobilize a state, to ignite a nation?
If not now, then when?

When will the shackles of racism be unlocked, melted down, then forged into weapons to fight the real war?
We are in a very real war that does not discriminate, and crosses all racial and ethnic lines while brandishing a perverse spirit of hate.
This is a war which profits from the use, abuse, and bondage of human lives.

Is this not the hour, to confront the real enemy who operates in the dawn of the day, as well as in the shadows of the night?
Is this not the day for the church of the living God to awaken and arise from their slumber?
A complacent slumber which has paralyzed and anesthetized the church from seeing the strip club in operation just one block over.
It’s definitely not a black thing or a white thing or a tan thing, this is a God thing, its a Kingdom thing, moreover it’s a Freedom thing!
Is not the Gospel, a prolific message of true freedom?
Does God’s Word not say that it is “the truth that will make you free.”
Therefore, is this not the hour for the lies to cease, and the truth to prevail?
If not now, then when?

If Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life; then how can we expect the ending of slavery to come by any other means except through Him?
And how will the world know, if we “the church” don’t tell them and show them by truly representing Him.

This is not simply a “me” thing or a “you” thing. This has to be a “WE” thing.
It is “We”, The Church, who must first unite.
On a global front it is “We” – The Church – who have been chosen to carry this beacon of light.
Just like you would never think of taking a knife to a gun fight;
We will never abolish modern-day slavery without Jesus.
Because neither He nor I will rest until every injustice is met with justice, and all things are set perfect in His sight.
